A really fun-packed lesson! Morris is a fantastic teacher, very smiley and engaging, not only he knows a lot about sushi and history, and taught us about manners, words and misconceptions, but he also keeps the conversation going and includes everyone, no matter what the participants' different countries, culture and age are! I was doing it alone but there was a family and a couple in the group and we all had a great time. The trivia really showed how little I knew of sushi in general, and I learned a lot while having fun. It made my last day in Japan very special! I wish I had done it at the beginning of my Japan visit, it probably would have saved a few embarrassing moments while eating out… lol but doing it at the end means it's fresher in my mind and I can practice immediately. Either way, I would totally recommend it!

Morris is a brilliant host. Our family of 4 with a 6 and 8 year old were welcomed into Morris' kitchen and taught the basics of sushi making, sushi history and sushi etiquette. The sushi itself was 'oishi' (delicious), ample and, despite our ham-fisted efforts, very pretty! Highly recommended for those who like a personal touch.

Founder Morris
Hi there!
My name is Morris, the founder of Tokyo Sushi-Making Tour.
I really appreciate that over 6,000 people from all over the world have joined our class ever since the foundation on Oct. 1st, 2013.
I love traveling and have visited many countries. While traveling abroad, I realized Japan is loved and respected by many people in other countries that made me proud of being a Japanese.
So, I would like to contribute to get visitors to become a big fan of Japan.
I believe that what makes you love the country is "People" whom you meet.
So, I would be very happy if our friendly instructors are "People" who make you love Japan.
Our instructors entertain you with informative and fun class!
I am looking forward to meeting you soon!
My friend and I booked a sushi making class a few weeks in advance when we were in town for the marathon. We had very limited time, but Morris and Nat were so accommodating and changed around their schedule to fit us in. Also, on the way there, I got off on the wrong underground stop, so let them know we would be 5 minutes late and no problem. Nat was there to meet us outside of the station (exactly in the spot we were told to go to).
When we got to the kitchen, it was lovely and quaint. A perfect setup. Nat was so knowledgeable and provided such great information. She was charming and had a great sense of humor as well. The food we made was fantastic and I feel like with the instruction given, we were able to retain all of the information (and I've since made sushi 3 times now at home). I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves cooking and enjoys sushi. Thank you again so much!
